Russia postpones sanctions against dairy products from Belarus

Russia has postponed the introduction of temporary sanctions against milk and some dairy products from Belarus to 6 March not 26 February as initially planned. The ban will be in place from 1800 Moscow time, according to the website of Rosselkhoznadzor, the Russian agricultural safety watchdog.  

Negotiations to resolve the situation concerning the ban on the export of Belarusian milk to Russia took place in Moscow today. The Belarusian side was represented by Deputy Prime Minister Mikhail Rusy and Agriculture and Food Minister Leanid Zayats, reports the state news agency BELTA.
