UCP considers issue of election boycott
The party is holding the second part of the "boycott" assembly on September 15. The BPF party is holding an identical event today.
On July 28, the UCP assembly delegates nominated 57 so-called "speakers" of the House of Representatives - the deputy candidates. This was the first part of the assembly.
Among them there are National Bank's Administration head Stanislau Bahdankevich, retired Lieutenant Colonel of the police Mikalaj Kazlou, member of the Supreme Council of the XIII convocation Marat Afanasyeu and movie director Yury Khashchavatski.
The delegates of the second part of the assembly are going to announce that they withdraw their candidacies. This will be a protest against absence of fair and free elections in Belarus, reports Radio Liberty.
