Sport minister: Maradona’s arrival will not to change much here

Belarusian Minister of Sport Syarhei Kavalchyk has commented on the appointment of famous ex-football player Diego Maradona as the chairman of the board at FC Dynamo Brest. The decision to invite him to Brest was ‘wise and good’, he announced on Belarus-1. “The more high-level specialists join our sport, the more popular it will be,” Kavalchyk said.

However, the Minister of Sport does not expect any ‘dramatic changes’ in Belarusian football despite the arrival of the world’s best football player of the 20th century.
