Youth’s flash mob against benefits cancellation in centre of Minsk
Youth activists organized a flash mob in the centre of Minsk to express their protest against the benefits cancellation. About a dozen members of an unregistered organization “New Way” gathered near the building of the presidium of the national Academy of Sciences at 1.20 p.m. with a transparent “No to benefits cancellation”. They stood there for about 10 minutes and gave out about 300 leaflets with the title “Give us our deserved benefits back”.
The leaflets informed about benefits cancellation for veterans of labour, minor prisoners of fascist camps, handicapped children and children under the age of 3 and also for employees of departments of the interior. Moreover, the leaflets contained appeals to support the Social March approved by Minsk City Executive Committee. The March is to take place in Minsk on November 4.
