Young man throws himself from multi-storey building in Brest

The Brest City Prosecutor's Office is probing what was believed to be a suicide over the weekend, when a young man threw himself from a multi-storey building.  Brest's Leninski District senior aide to prosecutor Lilia Karneychyk told Euroradio: "The man turned 35 years old before the death. He had abused alcohol since younger age. He was unemployed. According to friends, he felt himself a looser, because he achieved nothing byy 35".

According to Karneychyk, the number of suicides has increased against the same period of the year before. In 80 percent of cases, people committed suicide when under the influence of alcohol.
