"Young Front" demands that Makey should "lay down weapons" near President's Administration

The police detained 3 "Young Front" activists near the President's Administration on December 15. The activists conducted a picket there. According to one of the activists, they made this picket in connection with the recent statements of the President's Administration's head Uladzimir Makey that the opposition had been preparing terrorist acts with explosives on December 19.  The "Young Front" activists were standing in front of the Administration holding posters which said "Makey, lay down weapons!" and "Sanya, leave in peace!". They also wanted to pass the appeals to the Administration, but the special services prevented them from doing this.

Young Front activist: "The head of the President's Administration Uladzimir Makey said in his speech there would be an explosion or even a terrorist act on December 19. We came out with a peaceful demand. We also had appeals which we wanted to pass to the administration. However, as soon as we approached the building and unfolded our posters, the special service men in plain clothes flew at us, took our posters, a photo camera, and then brought us to the police department. They took explanations from us and then let us go".

Let us remind you, Uladzimir Makey made the following statement in the interview to the "RTR-Belarus" TV-channel on December 11: "It is obvious they don't plan to conduct a peaceful event. They are preparing guerilla groups, pyrotechnics and even explosives".
