You can make from 700 thousand rubles to 6000 dollars in summer
A trip organized by the programme “Work and Travel” will cost 720 dollars plus tickets, consular fees and a bank transfer. However, it is possible to make more than 6000 dollars. At the same time, BRYU offers an opportunity to reconstruct the National Opera and Ballet Theatre, to work as a builder for “Dazhynki” festival for 700 thousand roubles a month or to go to Russia to build railways earning 1 thousand dollars. The Belarusian affiliate of “The International Exchange Centre” complained to ERB that working in the field of international programmes became rather complicated after changes in the legislation in 2005.

That is why our Belarusian affiliate can offer only two programmes: summer work in the USA and a course of the English language in England, however, you are not given a right to work there. All the other programmes offered by our centre do not function in Belarus”.
The programme Work and Travel is very popular both in Belarus and Russia. About 2500-3000 people have applied for it in Belarus this year.
The biggest official organization BRYU does not offer jobs in America, but it also has its variants of summer work for students, mainly domestic ones. 9000 people worked in building groups last year and about 11 thousand people are planned to be recruited this year. The commissar of Minsk city headquarters of BRUY students’ groups Anton Samusenkau told ERB about it:
Anton Samusenkau: "BRUY offers work in students’ groups in different fields, for example, building groups, pedagogical groups – working as camp counsellors, agricultural, ecological, service work… Service work means working as waiters, chambermaids, service personnel. Most of the offered jobs are in Belarus, we only have pedagogical summer camps abroad – in Anapa and Krasnodar Territory where students work as camp counsellors”.

Anton Samusenkau: "You can make money in building teams. The average wage there is about 700 thousands. “Minsk Arena” has been under construction for two years and the National Opera and Ballet Theatre is still being restored. There will be about 50 building teams working in Minsk”.
