Yarmoshyna forbids Milinkevich to appear on TV instead of Kastusyou

The CEC chairperson claimed it during an online conference in the website of “Komsomolskaya Pravda in Belarus”. One of the participants asked whether a candidate could give his air time to another person. Dmitry Us’s speech was used as an example of a rebuff.

According to Lidziya Yarmoshyna, candidates cannot give their air time to anyone because the time is allocated for every presidential candidate individually. Even candidates’ representatives cannot make a speech instead of them, claimed the CEC chairperson.

At the same time, she noted that representatives could replace candidates during TV and radio debates.

As ERB informed, a presidential contender Ryhor Kastusyou claimed on November 23 that he would allow the leader of the movement “For Freedom” Alyaksandr Milinkevich make his second TV speech instead of him. The politician is empowered to act for him.
