15:02 Shautsou: Election to take place before possible crisis caused by gas prices

The House of Representatives will most likely gather to appoint the date of the presidential elections. A political scientist Yury Shautsou has expressed the opinion in an interview with ERB.

In the expert’s opinion, the election will be appointed for the end of 2010 because the time will be the most advantageous to the authorities.

Shautsou: "If our election is appointed for, say, December, it will take place before the crisis that may start after the New Year’s Day due to gas prices. Then we will have a consolidated government that will have the people’s trust to conduct drastic alterations as it usually happens after elections”.
