Water refilled for bunker-locked sect members in Russia

Water refill has been supplied to the religious sect members who locked themselves up in a bunker, awaiting "the end of the world", Russia's Penza Region Vice Governor Oleg Melnichenko said on Sunday. "They did not ask for that. It was our initiative. According to the reports from those who got out of the cave, the water stock was soon finishing", Melnichenko said. He noted that the sect members accepted the refilled water in silence.

Those remaining in the cave refuse to get in contact with the officials, despite a letter passed to them by their fellow sect members who recently decided to come out due to spring floods, reports Interfax.

35 sect members locked themselves up in a bunker in November 2007 in the village of Nikolskoye to wait for the "end of the world". 7 women agreed to come out on March 28, following the permanent negotiations. 14 more people got out after two rooms had collapsed due to floods. On April 2, three people left the bunker.
