Video of Russian and Belarusian paratroopers’ landing on Arctic ice floe

Military men successfully landed on an ice flow in the Arctic Ocean on April 7. 85 Russians, 13 Belarusians and 2 Tajiks participated in the operation. They used an Il-76 and jumped out when it was 60 degrees Celsius below zero overboard. There were no visual signs either. It was only a little warmer on the ice floe. Every soldier was carrying 50 kilos of load (warm clothes, weapons and the bare necessities). They built a base camp on the ice floe, tvzvezda.ru reports.

The Belarusian paratroopers trained at the base of landing division #76 in Pskov.
