Victoria Azarenka defeats World No.16 at Wimbledon

Victoria Azarenka has made it to the third round of Wimbledon. She defeated Russian Alena Vesnina (6:3, 6:3) in two sets in the 1/32 final on July 5. Vesnina is the World No.16 while Azarenka is still in the 683rd position. The Belarusian will compete with Heather Watson of Great Britain in the 3rd round.

Belarusian Aryna Sabalenka (136) has been defeated by German Carina Witthöft (65) in the 1/32 final.
