The Ukrainian TV channel UATV has begun broadcasts in Belarus since early February, Ukraine’s Ambassador in Minsk Igor Kizim told TUT.BY. It is now available to the subscribers of two cable operators in Minsk and Minsk district. More operators across Belarus are expected to add the channel to their packages.

The official launch will take place soon.

Belarus and Ukraine Presidents Aliaksandr Lukashenka and Petro Poroshenko agreed about the broadcasts of an Ukrainian channel in Belarus as far back as in late 2014.
