UDF leaders say action on September 28 is not a provocation

Responding to questions about the planned opposition action at 2000 on September 28 on October Square in Minsk, the leaders of the opposition stated that it was a not a provocation and stressed the format of the action was not defined yet.

Lyabedzka: No-one has defined the format of the event: a street rally or a demonstration. It has just been announced that people will be gathering at the square. At 2030 on September 28, the leaders of the UDF will hold a press conference. It is planned to take place near the Palace of the Republic where the information center of the Central Elections Commission is located. Siarhei Kalyakin described as absurd that MP candidates have no right to enter the information center of the Central Elections Commission or talk to journalists.

Kalyakin: We will come to both the domestic and foreign journalists in order to inform them about the preliminary results of the election day. Why does one part only have the right to tell us what is taking place with the elections. It will be illegal to prevent us from doing it.

The opposition leaders are convinced that they do have a right to sum up the election results in the center of the capital.
