Trials of activists, detained in Minsk, postponed for Aug 5

The hearings of all the four cases have been postponed for August 5, reports Vyasna. The reason os that police witnesses could not be present. At the same time, human rights lawyers learned that several officers that detained the activists yesterday were present in the court building today. Euroradio reported earlier that Vyachaslau Siuchyk, Kasya Davydzyuk and Mikola Davydzenka were detained on July 27 when they were trying to lay flowers to Yakub Kolas Monument in central Minsk and planned to read his poems.

They were accused of cursing and spent the night in a detention center.
