Traffic police 'live shield' officers may get suspended sentences

The trial of two traffic police officers who organized a live shield of civilian vehicles in order to stop a speeding driver near the Belarusian capital last March, today continued in the Minsk District Court. The state prosecutor asked to find the police officers guilty of office abuse and sentenced them to two years of probation.

In return, the lawyer for the victims demanded imprisonment for the traffic police officers, reports Interfax
