Tournament in Homel to fight drug addiction and juvenile delinquency
An international tournament meant to fight drug addiction and juvenile delinquency took place in Homel on June 7. It was organized by representatives of Hrodna affiliate of the National Olympic Committee and by the regional kickboxing and Thai boxing federation. The NOC informed BelaPAN that sportsmen from Belarus, Russia, Ukraine and Moldova participated in the competition. The aim of the tournament was to draw attention to the problem of children’s drug addiction and juvenile delinquency and to demonstrate the opportunities of sports and the appeal of physical activities.
