Sweden sets priorities for EU presidency

Swedish prime minister Fredrik Reinfeldt has set priorities for Sweden's EU six-month presidency, when addressing the members of the European Parliament.

Stockholm will focus on the financial and economic crisis in the EU in the short-term political perspective. Sweden will also have to handle the repeated referendum on the Lisbon Treaty in Ireland. Besides, Sweden is set to prepare the European Union for the international talks on climate change to take place in December, reports Euronews
