Sweden pledges 500 mln euros to Eastern Partnership countries
The government of Sweden plans to approve by the end of this year a new seven-year strategy of cooperation with Eastern Partnership countries.
500 million euros will be allocated for this plan in addition to a massive development program in 2014-2020 to be approved by gthe European Union.
The news was revealed by Sweden's foreign minister Carl Bildt in an interview with Ukrainian newspaper Den.
The Eastern Partnership is a project of the European Union which aims to boost integration with sex countries of the former Soviet Union: Ukraine, Moldova, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia and Belarus.
