Sport: Canada's Paul Gardner to coach Dinamo Minsk

Canadian tactician Paul Gardner has been appointed Dinamo Minsk head coach to manage the Minsk-based side in the first season of the new Continental Hockey League on a one-year contract with possible extension. “I feel honored to make sure that the Belarusian side will be decently represented in the Continental Hockey League. I plan to build up a good team that will be able to carry out the most serious tasks”, Gardner said after putting his signature on the contract papers.

The Canadian will also assist his compatriot Glen Hanlon in coaching Belarus national team. Hanlon has expressed “deep satisfaction with a new assistant coach”. Gardner, 52 is expected to arrive in Belarus on June 22 after having watched some of players in action.
