Special police detain freshman for managing anti-war chat room

Operative sof the Main Directorate for Combating Organized Crime and Corruption (GUBOPiK) have detained a freshman of the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, reported human rights activists. The man is accused of administering a chat room, where "cruelty against the Russian military was published".

The young man was filmed talking about his university and saying that he "administered a nationalist chat room of Belarusians and Ukrainians". Also, under pressure from law enforcement officers, the young man "confesses" to distributing "Nazi and extremist materials".

According to the human rights activists of "Viasna", the detained student's name is Herman Lebedzeu.
