Russian ambassador: Belarusian taxes are higher than in Sweden
The taxation level is 53% of the gross domestic product in Belarus which is higher then in Sweden. The Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexandr Surikov mentioned it while answering a question about increasing the value added tax at a press conference in Minsk.
“It is an internal matter of Belarus whether to increase a tax or not. You should always keep in mind that the VAT is a complex tax, the tax for the buyer”, - added the ambassador.
As it was informed, the Belarusian authorities are working on a project of increasing the value added tax from 18 to 24% and cancellation of the reverse tax.
