Russia objects to new Iran sanctions
Russia has objected to new sanctions against Iran by the UN Security Council. During the meeting of foreign ministry officials from five permanent members of the UN Security Council and Germany, Russia "warned that it opposed additional sanctions against Iran at this stage".
According the UN international nuclear watchdog, Iran blocks access to its nuclear program and has inclreased the number of uranium enrichment facilities. China and Russia have trade agreements with Iran.
