Russia not to station nuclear weapons in Belarus – A.Surikov

Russia will not station nuclear weapons in Belarus because it would contradict some recent international agreements. “Interfax” has quoted the statement of the Russian Ambassador to Belarus Alexander Surikov. It is impossible to station nuclear weapons in Belarus because there is a certain agreement guaranteed by the USA and the Russian Federation, claimed the Ambassador.

However, A.Surikov said that the idea of stationing an anti-missile system of the same level in Belarus could be discussed. It will depend on the level of integration cooperation. It depends whether it is done in a union state or in two different states, added the Ambassador.
