Results of local elections in Mahileu to be disputed in UN

Mahileu democratic activists have summed up the results of the elections. According to observers, there were a lot of violations.
For example, commissions overstated the number of people who took part in the elections. A policeman chased away an elector who wanted to inform observers about violations. The policeman claimed that he had been ordered not to allow any contacts between electros and observers.

Candidates are planning to lodge complaints to higher commissions and even to the International Court of Human Rights.

"Then we will complain to the central commission and to the Supreme Court. However, we are not going to stop there, we will finish this task and we will complain to the UN Human Rights Committee”, - said a deputy contender from Mahileu Province Council Yury Novikau in an interview with ERB.
