Resolution on Belarus to be adopted on July 9

The General Committee on political issues and security of the Parliamentary Assembly of OSCE adopted almost all amendments to the project of the resolution on the situation in Belarus during the summer session.
According to the leader of the United Democratic Party Anatol Lyabedzka who is present at the session, “Lukashenka and deputies of the House of Representatives get “a no” in most of the important amendments”.

Only suggestions strengthening the resolution pass. Deputies from Russia, Kazakhstan and Kyrgyzstan supported the Belarusian House of Representatives”.

According to Lyabedzka, the most unexpected thing was the voting of the Polish delegation that supported the official Minsk in almost all issues.

The document will be presented for voting at a plenary session of the OSCE Parliamentary Assembly on Monday, July 9. 

Lyabedzka notes that there is no doubt the resolution will be adopted.
