Zmitser Dashkevich goes on hunger- strike

Dashkevich’s lawyer came to court to on September 13. Dashkevich was about to be sent to a top-security prison. However, it turned out that there would be no trial because “there was no such case”. The press service of the Young Front informs about it. Dashkevich did not know about the trial either and he told it to his lawyer during his visit to the colony.
The political prisoner told him that he would go on hunger-strike. It will last until the colony administration fulfills his demands. Dashkevich demands normal living conditions in the punishment cell where he will have to stay until September 17. The political prisoner spends all the time in a cell where the air temperature is as low as outdoors. The guy has been forbidden to take anything but his prison uniform with him. He does not even have a blanket to sleep under. Dashkevich also demands that they should give him his Bible back.

The hunger-strike may produce a negative effect on the political prisoner’s health condition. He has a number of chronic diseases.
Dashkevicha says that he has not received any letters so far, even from his lawyer. He has been informed about the procedure of destroying the letters that cannot be censored – all of them were burnt down.

It has become known that Dashkevich was asked to plea for pardon on September 10. The political prisoner refused to do it.
