Will Eastern Partnership join EU's position on Belarus?

It is stated in the appeal that the EU created the Eastern Partnership in order to support reforms in the Eastern Europe countries. Democratic development and supremacy of law are the priorities.

The Civil Society Forum expresses its concern with regard to the situation with human rights in Belarus. The authors of the appeal state their regret that the preliminary version of the summit's declaration does not say about the support of the EU's position by the five other countries of the Eastern Partnership. They urge the state leaders and heads of governments of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine to coordinate their position on Belarus with the EU's position in this regard, "Narodnaya Volya" writes.

Let us remind you, the European Union set immediate and unconditional release and rehabilitation of Belarusian political prisoners as a condition for the dialogue with the official Minsk.
