Swedish MP denied entrance to Belarus

A member of Swedish Parliament from the Moderate coalition party Christian Holm was denied in his request for the Belarusian visa. The politician has informed this in an interview to BelaPAN.

He was going to visit Belarus in the end of this week. Holm planned to meet with representatives of the Belarusian opposition, civil society and independent journalists in Minsk.

"However, the Belarusin Embassy in Stockholm declined my visa request, — Holm has informed. —- They motivated it with the absense of invitation from the official Belarusian authgorities, and by the fact I had no plans to meet with representatives of the official Minsk. I did not get a visa, although I filed an invitation from the BPF Chairman Aliaksej Yanukevich to the Belarusian diplomatic mission..."

To the politician's opinion, the decision on visa denial was taken not at the level of the Embassy, but on the higher level.
