Poltava deputy and official not allowed to enter Belarus

Adviser of the Mayor of Poltava Alexander Mamai and deputy of Poltava City Council Yurii Isayev have been affected by the sanctions.

According to the website zn.ua, deputy Isayev was going to make a one-week trip to Belarusian cities. However, he spent 40 minutes in Minsk airport and was sent back.

A note that the Ukrainian is forbidden to enter Belarus was added to his passport. By the way, Isayev received his documents from pilots when he was on board a Kiev plane.

Isayev will have to wait for responses to his deputy inquires from Ukrainian Foreign Minister Kontsantin Grishchenko, the Ukrainian Ambassador to Belarus and the Belarusian Ambassador to Ukraine.

Let us remind you that three Ukrainian human rights activists – Mihail Kemenev, Maxim Kityuk and Marina Tsapok – were not allowed to enter Belarus in March and April.
