Mikola Statkevich to be sent to Shklou colony
The ex-candidate’s place of imprisonment has been announced.
The politician’s wife, Maryna Adamovich, has informed nn.by that Statkevich will serve his sentence in Shklou colony. One more person arrested in connection with the case of December 19 – Dzmitry Novik sentenced to 3.5 years of imprisonment – is already there. Zmitser Dashkevich and Andrei Kim used to be imprisoned in Shklou.
Maryna Adamovich says that she has not been allowed to meet Statkevich. The refusal is signed by head of Lenin District Court Zhaunerchyk and judge Hrachova.
The presidential candidate will stay in the detention centre in Valadarski Street until his appeal hearing. Let us remind you that Lenin District Court sentenced Statkevich to six years of imprisonment in a top-security colony. The politician was accused of organization of mass riots on December 19.
