Mikalaj Melchanka appointed as head of public security police
The state leader signed a corresponding decree today.
Before this, Melchanka was a deputy head of the administration of internal affairs of Minsk regional executive committee, informs BelaPAN. Before Melchanka, the public security police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs was headed by Colonel of police Yauhen Poludzen.
Let us remind you, Poludzen was detained on December 8, 2011. The General public prosecution started a criminal case against him on that very day. On December 15, Poludzen was accused of exceeding the authorizations or official powers. He is in custody now.
