Mikalaj Autukhovich sent to colony's medical unit

Mikalaj Autukhovich's lawyer Pavel Sapelka has told this to the BelaPAN news agency. According to him, a court trial against Autukhovich has been appointed on January 17 in the colony in connection with breaking the internal regime. This is the same trial as the one which took place against Mikalaj Statkevich recently. Autukhovich also faces transfer from the Ivatsevichy colony to prison for the term established by the court.

Let us remind you, in May 2010 an entrepreneur from Vaukavysk Mikalaj Autukhovich was sentenced to 5 years and 2 months of imprisonment in a reinforced-security colony by the Supreme Court. The reason was transportation and storage of 5 patrons for a hunting gun.

Human rights defenders consider Autukhovich a political prisoner, taking into account serious procedural violations recorded at his trial. Some time ago it became known that he had cut his wrists to protest against the actions of the colony's administration.
