Lukashenka: CSTO should cooperate with NATO and OSCE

The Belarusian President has made the statement in Moscow today. Alyaksandr Lukashenka went there to attend a meeting of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

In the Belarusian state leader's opinion, the CSTO is in for a difficult period, BelTA reports. The CSTO has Uzbekistan's official statement on suspension of membership today. The remaining members are Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Russia and Tajikistan.

Lukashenka has also urged the CSTO to closely cooperate with international organizations. He mentioned the OSCE, UN and NATO. There should be no competition in providing the security of the Eurasian region, the Belarusians state leader thinks.
