Lithuanian General Prosecutor wants to retire as he ran over a woman
Darus Valis ran over a woman who was crossing the road at the pedestrian way in Vilnius today.
An important Lithuanian official called the doctors at once after the accident and the lady was delivered to the hospital. Darus Valis aplogized to her and expressed his sorrow with regard to the accident. Besides, the General Prosecutor applied for retirement today so that the circumstances of the accident would be investigated objectively, RIA Novosti informs.
President of Lithuania consider this a decent step but the decision on Valis' retirement will be taken only after the investigation.
