July 3 protesters stand trials in Mahilyou

Aleh Dzyachkou, head of Mahilyou affiliate of the Belarusian Language Association, has been fined for 1 million 50 thousand rubles. No sentence has been pronounced to human rights activist Barys Buhel so far. The court has sent his case for revision because the document contained mistakes and Buhel has been let off until the trial.

By the way, Buhel and Dzycahkou were imprisoned in a detention centre yesterday. They spent the night in jail.

Let us remind you that 12 people were detained after the “silent” action in Mahilyou. Warnings have been pronounced to them; they have been fined and sentenced to administrative arrests.
