Is it possible to go insane after watching "pre-electoral" TV-air?

The European Radio for Belarus has found out how this could influence the  psycho of people who watch TV whole day long.
An inhabitant of Baranavichy walked around the residential building's entrance barefoot, urging everyone to buy products manufactured in Belarus. When she started asking people whether they knew her father was "Lukash", the neighbours called the ambulance. They are convinced she lost her mind because of watching pre-electoral TV-programs too much: watching TV was her hobby, informs  “Solidarity”.

Specialists from Minsk city psychoneurology dispensary comment upon the possibility of the so-called "election neurosis" very carefully:

“Nervous people react to certain changes in their environment. These are seasonal rhythms, certain stress situations. Usually, when something happens on TV - for example, some events in the country - such people start worrying”.
However, there has not been a new wave of clients in the Minsk city psychoneurology dispensary recently:

“We haven't noticed anything of the kind. New waves of mental diseases are recorded in Spring and in Autumn”.

Psychiatrists from the Republican scientific and practical center of mental health in Navinki state the same:

“I consult up to 10% of patients who address to us. I can tell you there have been less patients recently. According to our information, this is normal for the second half of December. There are usually much less patients recorded on December 31 to January 1, than, for example, from February 28 to March 1, etc., I don't know why”.

As for the New Year, there will be many free places in Navinki then:

“We have 1780 beds. About 1300-1350 patients will stay here for the next year. It never happens in ordinary months”.

According to psychiatrists, it is impossible to get a mental disease by watching TV. A person can only be pushed towards the direction which he is moving to by himself already:

“TV has a conditional meaning, like witches, or devilry some time ago... The fabula of psycho waves change with the development of the society. However, it is not the TV which causes a mental disease. It can cause over-fatigue, that's all”,said Navinki psychiatrists.

“There is such a concept as interface states. There are serious psychiatric diseases, and interface states, or neurosis, — added the specialists from Minsk city psychoneurology dispensary.  The condition of people who suffer from neurosis and painfully react to stress situations may get worse... But if we think of a holiday... They will relax and enjoy themselves. They won't even address to us”.

Even the psychiatrists in Navinki know that the closest holiday of the Belarusian people is the election day:

Psychiatrist from Navinki:“Well, happy holiday to you then!”Euroradio:There are two weeks to come!Psychiatrist from Navinki:“I mean the election day!”Euroradio:"Besides, has anyone arrived to you in connection with the election recently?"Psychiatrist from Navinki“No! We wouldn't tell you anyway...”
