Iryna Halip not allowed to meet husband in colony again
She wanted to bring a parcel to Andrei Sannikau and to meet him in the colony “Vitsba-3”.
Halip has informed BelaPAN that the last time she met her husband was on August 18. The journalist says that the Penalty Department promised her that she would be allowed to meet the political prisoner last week. However, head of the colony Vital Ahnistsikau claimed that it was his personal decision to isolate the politician from the outer world while he is checking whether Sannikau is in danger or not.
According to Halip, Ahnistikau claimed that the censorship system could not allow relatives to receive Sannikau’s letters. Nevertheless, Halip’s parcel was accepted.
