IMF predicts 38% inflation in Belarus this year

Let us remind you that according to the Ministry of Economy, the inflation in our country is expected to total 19-22%.

 Belarus is top-1 among the other CIS member states when it comes to the inflation rate expected in 2012, reports Interfax.by. Our country is followed by Mongolia (14.2%), Uzbekistan (11%) and Tajikistan (9%). The inflation in the neighbouring countries, Russia and Ukraine, is expected to total 6.2% and 7.9% respectively. According to the IMF, the inflation will not exceed 3.2% in Poland, and 2% and 3.3% in Latvia and Lithuania.

The inflation in Venezuela will resemble the Belarusian one. The fund expects the inflation to reach 33.4% there in 2012.
