EU calls for Belarus not to adopt repressive laws

BelaPAN quotes her and informs that the European Union is worried about the project of amendments to the law on civil associations. Kocijancic has noted that the new law will impose further restrictions on the activity of the civil community and political opposition in the country.


The press secretary also says that the EU is worried about the new draft on state security organs that may expand KGB’s repressive functions. Europe considers all the three law to be a step back in the field of human rights and the supremacy of law.
