Dashkevich and Lobau do not trust Belarusian administration of justice

17:30 Kantsantsin Savitski, born in 1979 in Samara (Russia). Secondary education, unemployed.

He “accidentally” met Malyshau in the street. They decided to head for the centre of the city. They asked the guys where the bus stop was. After they had asked for a cigarette, “Dashkevich hit Aleh in the belly for no reason”.

16:35 Lobau says that he did no hit anyone. “I made three or five stapes back, took out the crow-bar and said I would hit Savitski if he approached. But Savitski caught his hand and the crow-bar fell out. My actions were defensive”.

Edward says that Savitski hit him on the lips and that Savitski was wearing dark clothes.

Savіtskі knocked Lobau down and held him like that. Malyshau approached and put his hat on his eyes so that he could not see anything.

Lobau did not hear how they called police either.

16:11 Lobau’s evidence.

“Are you political too?” – the prosecutor won’t stop.
“I am the head of Minsk affiliate of the Young Front”.

Lobachau’s words correspond to the evidence given by Dashkevich.

Lobachau says that Savitski hit him on the lips. Then he took out a small crow-bar to exercise psychological pressure on the attackers. But it did not affect Savitski.

He attacked Lobau anyway. He managed to snatch out the crow-bar and to wring Lobau’s hands.

16:08 “Are you involved in politics?” — asks the prosecutor.

“I am. I’m from the Young Front”, - responds Zmitser.

“Is it registered in Belarus?”

“It isn’t”.

“The victims” have nothing to ask Dashkevich about. Lobau’s interrogation has started.

16:04 According to Dashkevich, one of the victims detained him and broke his arm.

“Later I saw that Lazar’s leg was injured. When special police troops arrived he was lying in the snow and could not stand up”.

15:52 Zmitser says that he was made to lie down, face in the snow, and that he could not see what was going on around him. It was not even clear who had called the police. The bus arrived 3 or 5 minutes later.

Dashkevich says that nobody even asked him for explanations in the police office. He was delivered to the detention centre right away. They talked to him only three days later.

15:42. The defendants will be interrogated first. Dashkevich says that he was in one of the yards in Yanka Bryl Street on December 18. Edward Lobau and Dzyanis Lazar were with him.
Dahskevich  says that a group of five people attacked them. Savitski and Malyshau were in that group. “One of them asked me for a smoke and the other asked the number of the house”, - says Dashkevich.

The guy says that he did not manage to answer because they attacked him shouting: “A fight! Police!”. Dashkevich did not see what happened next.

A bus of special police troops arrived and they quickly found out “who was guilty and who wasn’t”.
The accused says they had been watching him since morning and that he had a bad premonition on March 18.

15:27. The state prosecutor Mr. Mazouka is reading the accusation to Dashkevich and Lobau.

Dashkevich is said to have hit Malyshau and Savitski with his hands and with a metal object. The same is said about Lobau.

They are accused of hooliganism according to article #339.
Both of the defendants refuse to plead guilty.

Dashkevich has stressed that he has nothing on the judge - Alena Shylko. However, “every person has to face a choice in this system – they have to decide whether they should fulfill criminal orders or not”, - informs BelaPAN.

The judge has left the court room to make a decision about the appeal.

Having returned to the court room at 2.45 p.m., she read the decision aloud: the recusation had been declined.

Shylko has also declined Dashkevich’s appeal for finishing the whole hearing today.
