Bressan: Brazilians congratulated me and asked for Belarus shirt

The Brazilian Belarusian scored the only goal for our team in the historical game with descendants of Pele. Renan wanted to show his level of play and he managed to do this - he scored a super-goal against goalkeeper Neta.

Euroradio called Renan when he was going in a bus from Manchester to Glasgow together with the team.

The player evidently was in a good mood. He liked scoring against his countrymen-Brazilians. However, descendants of Pele did not criticize him for playing for Belarus.

Renan Bressan: My former club-mate, Brazilian goalkeeper Neto, came up to me both before and after the game.

Euroradio: Where did you play with him?

Renan Bressan: In Atletico Paranaense. We recalled the team a bit with Neto so it was a rather pleasant situation.

Euroradio: Whom did you exchange shirts with?

Renan Bressan: Oscar, No. 10 (he scored the third goal against our team - Euroradio).

Euroradio: Did you contact with Brazilian fans? What is their attitude to you?

Renan Bressan: Very good. The Brazilians congratulated me after the game at the stadium. Although they supported Brazil they told me I did a great performance and scored a beautiful goal. They even supported Belarus a little. They took pictures with me, asked for a Belarus shirt. However, unfortunately, I no longer had it with me so I couldn't give it as a gift. I was very pleased. However, we have a game with Egypt ahead so we need to forget about Brazil.

Euroradio: Our team lived not far from the Brazilians. Did they celebrate with dances and tambourines? Did you join them?

Renan Bressan: I saw nothing like that. They were happy of course - they won and went out of the group. I think they will celebrate when they get the golden medals.

Euroradio: How do you feel? We heard you had a cough…

Renan Bressan: Normally. There is some fatigue of course, after two games. It is not easy to play at such tournament as the Olympics. The distances are also long which is bad. However, Egypt has the same situation. Everyone is tired but there's huge motivation, to go out of the group. We need to endure a little, to play when it seems impossible to play. I think that we have good chances.

Euroradio: Your wife was at the stadium. How does she travel around the British Isles?

Renan Bressan: The wives go separately. My wife Marianna came to London, then to Manchester and so on. But she travels separately.
