Best 2012 sportsmen: Azarenka, Martynau and Herasimenya
The sports newspapers Pressball and Sport Panorama have conducted their traditional survey.
According to Pressball, 44-year-old Syarhei Martynau is the best shooter. He won a gold medal at the London Olympics in the Men's 50m rifle prone shooting. Tennis player Maxim Mirny is in the second position (he won a gold medal in the doubles with Victoria Azarenka in London) and handball player Syarhei Rutenka is in the third place.
The edition has not managed to chose the best sportswoman because tennis player Victoria Azarenka, the World No. 1, and 23-year-old swimmer Alyaksandra Herasimenya, swimmer, have scored the same number of points. Biathlete Darya Domracheva is in the third position.
Sport Panorama has chosen the top-3 sportsmen. They are Victoria Azarenka, Syarhei Martynau and Alyaksandra Herasimenya.
