Austrian diplomat to find out how Yarmoshyna and Lazavik received visas
Belarusian activists have sent the corresponding inquiry to the Austrian Embassy to Poland.
Representatives of Belarusian organizations and deputy Ambassador Stella Avalone have met in the Austrian Embassy to Warsaw today, on July 12. Belarusian representatives of the Office for a Democratic Belarus, member of the National Council of the Belarusian Christian Democracy Anatol Mihnavets, political scientist Pavel Usau and civil activist Ihar Koktysh have taken part in the meeting.
The Belarusians have expressed their anxiety in connection with the fact that chairperson of the Central Election Commission Lidizya Yarmoshyan and her deputy Mikalai Lazavik have received Austrian visas. Let us remind you that they have been invited to the OSCE conference that will take place in Vienna.
The diplomat has assured that the reason why the visas were granted will be studied. According to Avalone, it is possible that the visas were not granted by the Austrian Embassy.
Let us remind you that the OSCE announced all the election campaigns that have taken place in Belarus since 1996 illegitimate. Lidziya Yarmoshyna and Mikalai Lazavik are forbidden to enter the EU member states and the USA in connection with it.
