A rare predator bird was spotted on the roof of a village house in the Lijozna district, northern Belarus. In the past, it could only be seen in a zoo or cartoons.

Griffon vulture (Gyps fulvus) is used in cinematography as a death herald - a bird hovering over dying animals.

This is the first time the bird was spotted in Belarus. Its usual habitat includes warmer and mountenous areas of Asia, Africa, and southern Europe.
