Police look for leads over July 4 blast in Minsk

Security services have several leads in the case over the July 4 Independence Day explosion in the capital Minsk, Belarus Interior Ministry's head of investigations Maj.-Gen. Siarhei Hureyeu told the Interfax news agency. According to the police general, colleagues from the other countries are assisting the Belarusian law-enoforcement agencies. But he declined to reveal any details, saying the investigation is still in progress.

A self-made bomb was set off on July 4, 2008 during the Independence Day celebrations in Minsk, injuring over 50 people.
