Oppositionists beaten by special police troops in Minsk send complaints to Office of Public Prosecutor

Opposition members beaten during a solidarity action in Minsk on September 16 are going to complain about the actions of policemen to the Office of the Public Prosecutor.
Let us remind you that about 50 people gathered in Kastrychnitskaya Square in the capital yesterday. Many of them were holding portraits of Yury Zaharanka, Victar Hanchar, Anatol Krasouski and Dzmitry Zavadski who disappeared in 1999-2000. Special police troops greatly outnumbering the action’s participants forced them out of the square.

The leader of the United Civil Party and a parliamentary deputy contender Anatol Lyabedzka, Franak Vyachorka and others were beaten. The glasses of the deputy head of BNF Vintsuk Vyachorka were broken. Members of special police troops tore white-red-white and EU flags to pieces.
