Nyaklyayeu: We did not except Canadians to be ready to cooperate that much

The leader of the campaign “Tell the Truth” Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu and the leader of the United Civil Party Anatol Lyabedzka and his deputy Yaraslau Ramanchuk are taking part in a number of meetings with the Canadian administration. Uladzimir Nyaklyayeu has informed ERB about it from North America on the phone. Nyaklyayeu: “We met the Canadian Prime Minister yesterday and met the leading Ministers – of the Economy, Social Development and etc. We met parliamentarians and heads of the leading international committees”.

The poet has confessed that Belarusians were not really ready for the Canadians’ readiness to accept their offer of cooperation.

Nyaklyayeu: “I was mostly interested in the support Canada could render to our civil community – in the creation of the community. And we saw they were eager to meet our wishes. They just said: “Let us prepare a certain programme. How can we help?” They are ready to cooperate in any way. However, we were not ready for such open offers. But we have elaborated some ideas during these three days”.
Nyalyayeu has not said what Belarusians were going to bring from Canada. But he noted that the results of their trip to Canada  would be noticeable in Belarus soon.
