Explosives were planted in three places on the railroad in the Bryansk region, writes the Baza TV channel.

The power of the main explosion was 10 kg of TNT. The other two were smaller - about 200 grams of TNT.

It is also reported that the saboteurs probably watched the railroad for a long time: 100 meters from the explosion they found two cigarette butts, two packs of cigarettes, an empty can of beer and a package of Rolton instant soup. There was also a fragment of burnt electrical wiring and copper wire fragments.

The explosion destroyed about 6 meters of rail and four concrete sleepers. A crater about 2.5 meters deep and 1.5 meters in diameter formed at the site of the explosion.

According to Baza, a two-section diesel locomotive and five wagons derailed. The diesel locomotive and 4 wagons burned. Earlier it was reported that eight cars had derailed.

Twelve tons of diesel fuel leaked from the locomotive's tanks.

Special services have prepared a description of a suspect involved in the sabotage of the railroad. According to Baza it is a man of about forty years, dressed in black, about 170 centimeters tall. He was carrying a black backpack. The man was riding a bicycle.

The sabotage in the Bryansk region took place on May 1. As a result, a freight train of the Belarusian formation derailed on its way from Homiel to Bryansk. The locomotive crew was not injured in the incident. However, the Belarusian railway workers remained in Russia until the end of the investigation.
