Mahileu authorities do not want to withdraw Lidzya Yarmoshyna from CEC

121 people signed the appeal to the regional executive committee. The Mahileu inhabitants asked to withdraw Lidzya Yarmoshyna from the Central Elections Commission as, according to them, she accepted violations at elections all the time, due to which many countries do not recognize the Belarusian elections' results. The Mahileu Regional Deputy Council's Presidium and the Mahileu regional executive committee offered Yarmoshyna's candidature to the Central Elections Commission at the time.

Initiator of the appeal Alyaksej Paulouski got a reply from the Mahileu regional executive committee. It is stated in the document that Lidzya Yarmoshyna proved that she was a professional lawyer and made a great input into development of the country's electoral system.

Paulouski did not exclude that he might appeal to the court, in a comment to Euroradio. According to him, there are still protocols of the observers which reflect violations at various elections. Alongside with that, he does not exclude non-standard moves also:

Paulouski: "Well, if they characterized her so positively, we will collect signatures for installation of Yarmoshyna's star or for naming a street after her..."

Let us remind you, Paulouski got famous when he asked the linguists from the Academy of Sciences whether Lukashenka had a right to call Barroso a goat.
